For Francy Diaz, that next step meant expanding JOFA Remodeling Services into rain gutter fabrication and installation, a move she’d been planning for years but couldn’t yet afford. A Vision Waiting on Capital
Before working with BBRC, our company, JOFA Remodeling Services, was growing but facing a financial limitation that prevented us from taking the next strategic step. We had already invested in tools and equipment for our remodeling work, and for some time we had been planning to expand by adding a new service line focused on rain gutter fabrication and installation. However, we were still trying to gather the capital needed to purchase the specialized machine required to make this project possible. Without that investment, our growth and ability to diversify our services were delayed, even though the demand and the vision were already there.
Continuing a Journey Already in Motion
BBRC has supported our business primarily by giving us the opportunity to access funding that will allow us to take an important step in our growth and expansion. Although I have only attended one class so far and more sessions are planned, I am very motivated and expect these trainings to continue strengthening our business knowledge and structure.

After working with BBRC, the most important result has been gaining clarity and structure in how we understand and manage our business. Through their guidance and the Business Readiness Scorecard process, we were able to analyze our company in a conscious and organized way, reviewing our operations, financial practices, and growth strategy step by step. This checklist helped us identify strengths, recognize areas that need improvement, and better understand what is essential to build a sustainable and scalable business.
BBRC has helped ground our vision and show us a clear path forward, not only by supporting us toward funding for new equipment, but also by strengthening our strategic thinking as business owners. As a result, we now have greater confidence, a clearer business direction, improved organizational awareness, and stronger preparation for future growth and opportunities.
A New Service Line, and New Opportunities
One of the most significant results has been receiving access to a loan through BBRC, which is allowing us to move forward with the purchase of a specialized rain gutter fabrication machine. This investment represents a major growth milestone for JOFA Remodeling Services, as it enables us to launch a new service line focused on gutter manufacturing and installation — an expansion we had been planning for a long time but were unable to execute due to capital limitations.
This opportunity positions our business to increase revenue, diversify our services, and create future job opportunities while strengthening our capacity to serve our community with more complete home improvement solutions.
