Connie is responsible for all loan servicing activities for the BBRC and Foundation Capital. She keeps the BBRC office running smoothly by skillfully handling a variety of responsibilities.
Connie worked at Bell South for 30 years before joining the BBRC in 1999. In 2001, the BBRC awarded Connie the Director’s Award for her outstanding achievement and work for the BBRC.
When not at work, Connie volunteers with the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, travels and listens to jazz.
Lawanda Baker is the Executive Assistant and Graphic Designer for the Birmingham Business Resource Center. Her responsibilities and talents include brand management; logo design; digital and print ad campaigns; as well as general project management and support for the Executive Director and the BBRC team.
Nicole has more than 20 years experience in SBA loan marketing, origination, processing, closing and servicing. She was vice president of commercial lending with Compass Bank in Birmingham, where she spent seven years in commercial lending. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in economics from Mary Baldwin College.
Jan was also with Compass Bank as vice president of commercial lending, spending 10 years in commercial lending. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in health care management from the University of Alabama, and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Alabama.
Wes is responsible for daily operations, managing portfolio performances and other executive duties pertaining to Foundational Capital. Wes has spent the last 11 years in the finance industry.
Mona Lisa serves as director of financial literacy programs at BBRC. She is an Accredited Financial Counselor® with over 13 years of in-depth experience in multiple facets of personal finance and insurance. Her role at BBRC includes providing leadership and support in financial education programs for individuals, families, entrepreneurs, and small business owners. Her goal is to guide them toward financial wellness. Mona Lisa also serves as deputy to the executive director.
Kimberly McCall serves as Loan Processing and Servicing Administrator. She is primarily responsible for SBA 504 loan processing and servicing.
Tamika Hinton, Founder and Director of Out Of Office LLC, is the Virtual Assistant to the BBRC Executive Director.
Brandon Pettagrue serves as the Director of Capital Access. He has a passion for helping impactful businesses achieve sustainable financial & community outcomes by providing access to capital and targeted growth strategies. Brandon’s prior professional experience includes consultant services, commercial banking, investment banking analysis and small business advising.
Mr. Pettagrue attained a Bachelor of Arts degree from Morehouse College in Banking & Finance and a Master of Arts degree from The Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies in International Economics, Conflict Management, and International Law.
