The Birmingham Business Resource Center (BBRC) was proud to partner with Mastercard to showcase local businesses in collaboration with the World of Opportunity Vendor
Program, a division of The World Games 2022 Birmingham. In July 2022, countries from across the globe enjoyed a taste of the Magic City, and the BBRC ensured visitors also experienced Black-owned businesses by launching the Civil Rights District Marketplace.
Visitors were encouraged to support local Black-owned businesses by using their Mastercard®.
Shoppers received up to $50 credit per cardholder. The offer was valid from 7/7/22 to 7/17/22 or until max program reimbursement was met, whichever occurred first.
