The BBA’s SBI is a highly selective, 15-week program designed for established small businesses that are ready to move from working hard to working strategically.
Through expert-led sessions, peer accountability, and practical assignments, SBI equips business owners with the tools, insight, and confidence needed to scale with intention, and/or to build a viable company—one that will endure over time.
Participants graduate with:
- A clear three-year strategic growth plan

Who Should Apply
SBI is designed for businesses that are already operating and ready to grow.
Applicants must:
- Be headquartered in the Greater Birmingham Region
- Employ two or more people, in addition to the founder
- Generate at least $100,000 in annual revenue
- Commit to attending the full 15-week program, completing assignments, and participating in program surveys
